Limited liability company by the German wind turbines manufacturer Enercon’s E-126 wind turbines, is currently the world’s largest wind turbine (see Figure 1). The unit’s rotor diameter of 126 m, about 413 feet, was previously installed capacity of 6MW of the E-112 model of the improved version. The company was established in the German city of this unit Emden, and its energy storage system of the unit test several times. At present, the first two batches of sample respectively in November 2007 and September 2008 to complete the installation. However, E-126 unit installed capacity is not yet clear, an argument remain 6MW, while another way is 7MW or 20000000kWh / y.
Rotor speed 12rmp. The unit has several unique small wind turbines characteristics: leaves on the spoiler extended to the design hub as well as pre-cast concrete base (see Figure 2). Advanced hub height and blade profile is expected to exceed the performance of E-112. In addition, E-126 does not set the gearbox, so a direct drive turbine generators. Generators installed in the largest office space cabin.
