Netherlands, Friesland recently announced a large-scale wind generators development plan, expected 2020 new 200 large wind turbines. By then, half of the families Friesland electricity will come from wind power generator.
It is reported that 200 new wind turbines were as high as 80 to 120 meters, a total cost of one billion euros. Northern part of Friesland in the Netherlands, near the North Sea, is rich in wind resources.
Netherlands Central Bureau of Statistics show that as at the end of 2008, the Dutch land and sea total installed wind power capacity 2216 MW, 470 MW more than the previous year.
